What do I do when someone is suffering from a heart attack!?!?

I'm scared my mom will have one, but I have no idea what to do. . .maybe call an ambulance?
Answer:
Signs %26 symptoms of a heart attack

Pain (sudden crushing, stabbing)
* central chest
* Arms (left)
* jaw
Breathing Difficulties
Confusion, anxious, dizzy
Pale skin, cold clammy, sweating
Unconsciousness
Heart may stop (cardiac arrest).

If you suspect she is having a heart attack DO NOT hesitate to call for an ambulance.

Managment for heart attack

Call an ambulance (they may tell you to give her two Aspirin)
Encourage her to rest in a comfortable position (half sittting position, supporting the back %26 head)
Assist to take any prescribed medication if she has any
Reassuring her to keep her calm
Loosen clothing at the neck %26 waist to assist breathing
Monitor her for signs of deterioration
Be prepared to do CPR

If you have not learnt already, learn how to do CPR. As every second matters, and the sooner that CPR is started the better the outcome.

Hopefully you will not have to put it into practice.
call 911. the heart muscle dies each minute and cannot be replaced.
Call 911.. in the meantime... have her to cough as deep as she can a few times every couple of minutes until help gets there.
If she is awake and alert give her two aspirin. Have her chew one and swallow it and hold the other one under her tongue. Call 911 and tell them you need an ambulance. Contact your local YMCA or Red Cross and see if they offer CPR classes.
Definitely call 911! Then maybe if you're really worried about it take a first aid class to learn CPR and the Heimlich maneuver. Just an idea...hope this helps.
